9. Geographic Scope of Services
MyDocUSA provides telehealth services to patients located in all 50 states within the United States. We do not offer services or ship any medications, prescriptions, or health-related products outside of the United States.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our telehealth services, process appointments and transactions, maintain appropriate medical and business records, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.
10.1. Account and profile information:
We retain account, contact, and profile information while a user’s account remains active. Following a verified account-deletion request, we will delete or de-identify information that we are not legally required to retain within 60 days.
10.2. Health and medical information:
Health information, intake forms, consultation records, prescriptions, treatment information, and other medical records are retained for the period required by applicable federal and state healthcare and medical-record laws. Because MyDocUSA operates in multiple states, required retention periods may vary. Certain medical records may therefore be retained after an account-deletion request when retention is required for healthcare, legal, regulatory, patient-safety, or compliance purposes. When those retention requirements expire, the records will be securely deleted or de-identified.
10.3. Appointment and transaction information:
Appointment, billing, payment, refund, and transaction records are retained for 90 days, or for any longer period required by applicable tax, accounting, payment, or healthcare laws.
10.4. Support communications:
Emails, customer-support requests, complaints, and related communications are retained for up to 90 days after the matter is resolved, unless a longer period is required for legal or compliance purposes.
10.5. Technical, analytics, and application data:
Device information, IP addresses, application activity, access logs, analytics information, and diagnostic data are retained for up to 90 days, after which they are deleted, anonymized, or aggregated unless continued retention is necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
10.6. Backup copies:
Information scheduled for deletion may remain in encrypted or restricted backup systems for up to 60 days. Backup data is not used for ordinary business purposes and will be removed when the applicable backup is overwritten or expires.
10.7. Third-party service providers:
Information processed by service providers, including healthcare platforms, hosting providers, analytics providers, communication providers, pharmacies, and payment processors, may be retained according to contractual requirements and applicable law. When appropriate, we instruct service providers to delete or return personal information associated with a verified deletion request, except where they are legally required to retain it.
10.8. Account and Data Deletion Requests:
Users may request deletion of their MyDocUSA account and associated personal information by emailing info@mydocusa.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.”
We may require users to verify their identity before processing a deletion request. Following verification, we will delete or de-identify information that we are not legally required to retain within 60 days. Certain health, medical, transaction, security, fraud-prevention, and compliance records may be retained as described in this Privacy Policy.
Uninstalling the mobile application does not automatically delete information stored on our systems.
